When it rains in Costa Rica - IT RAINS! Our house is up on the side of a mountain, and I have to drive across a creek every day to get to and from town. Well, yesterday it had rained HARD for about 4 hours and the creek was extremely swollen. When I realized that I wouldn't be driving through the rushing water for at least an hour, I remembered a bridge some of the local guys use when the creek is flooded. Upon further inspection, I made the decision to wait it out - the old wooden bridge was not my idea of safe travel. Can you believe these guys drive cars and pick-ups across this thing every day? I am going with the old passage, "thou shalt not tempt the Lord
