Not only are things happening for Costa Rica, but we still have partner ministries in Asia.
Check out the latest update from Pastor Thomas Rai HERE! Great things are happening...still!
We have secured the home we will stay in (at least for the first month) down in CR. It is a great house, but there is a crazy road up the mountain we get to drive to get to it. We literally have to cross a big creek/small river in two places to get up there. So...Please join us in prayer as we trust God to provide the right truck for our needs. I found one today - it is $23,000 for a 2007. We have $8,000 saved up and we are going to sell our vehicles here, but more still needs to come in! Let's watch together and see what our AMAZING God is going to do! Thank you for all of the love and support you have shown us! We booked our flights today. We will officially be on our way on July 24th!
For those that might be wondering...yes, even the old hound dog is going with us. I guess he is now officially a part of the family! PTL! We had a surprise offering come in that covered the expense of the new printer we needed and some extra ink!
Be enouraged today that the Lord even cares about the small stuff! The list of things to do seems to be never ending, but we know that all of this craziness will be worth it.
Right now, we are trying to spend time with family and friends before we leave - so if you would like to get together before we head out July 24th, let us know! So tonight we sold our house....nothing like the last minute!
This has been the most miraculous 2 weeks of provision - we are blown away by what the Lord has done. Only one question remains....what will happen next? Thank you Jesus! It has been a CRAZY weekend - it just so happens that the weekend the Lord moves for us to be able to begin the actual process of relocating is the same weekend as our community garage sale. Now...I am not a fan of garage sales, but when you need to get rid of a bunch of stuff in a hurry and want to make a few bucks in the process, it's not a bad gig. His timing was perfect! One amazing thing that happened on Friday was that a total stranger came by to shop. Once she heard why we were moving, she handed Brigit a check for $500 to help us with our relocation - SIMPLY UNBELIEVABLE!!! We have so many things to do before our departure at the end of July, but I know that God is going to be faithful. Our major prayer requests are that we can find the right vehicle and house in Costa Rica for our family - so please stand with us for this to come to pass! (We still need $12,000 to come in to get our truck.) Thank you all so much for your encouraging words over the weekend; we sincerely appreciate them! |
