I took this photo yesterday from a spot along the highway where people stop all of the time to admire the sunset. It hit me as I was positioning myself to get "just the right shot" that I was cropping things out of the photo that weren't pretty. This is what the spot really looks like (see below).
Life isn't always pretty either. I think that I need to slow down, look deeper into the lives of those around me and find out what the real "snapshot" of their day to day lives is all about. Let's face it, everyone of us puts our best foot forward, smile even when we're hurting, etc.
I believe if we are going to love our God and our neighbor, we have to go deeper into the lives of those around us because of a burning desire to love them through the eyes of Jesus. We must know what their true needs are, and then do our best as we are lead by the Holy Spirit to meet those needs. Be blessed today!
