Sunday's message

Pastor has asked me to preach this Sunday. I will be sharing out of the book of James, chapter 3.

Our words (our tongue) are so very important. I have been sharing this with my kids over the last few weeks. Every time I make a declaration of faith in our home, Abby says, "Your steering the family ship dad!"

She is right! Our words are full of power! Some people got weird about this years ago and the phrase "blab it and grab it" came about. The truth is...we will have what we say (Proverbs 18:21 - The power of life and death is in the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit).

Think about it this way - how was the world formed? God said let there be light, and there was! How are you saved? By confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If your eternal destiny is determined by the confession of your mouth (with faith in your heart), don't you think what goes on in your daily life can be affected by your words too?

Ha! God is good! Today my friends, I challenge you to make the right confession with your mouth over your marriage, your children, your financial situation - whatever - and watch God begin to move on your behalf!
