At the time of this writing, Sunday morning, I’m getting a word from God for you. He’s telling me that we should be especially wary of the strategies and deceits of the devil right now. As soon as I read Genesis 2 this morning, I knew He was asking me to share this with you, like this. Many of us know this chapter is about Eve, and how she was deceived by the devil.
We all know there are lots of things happening in the world right now; I feel strongly that as believers, we should ask God to help us be especially aware of the deceptions of the enemy, and how he might be trying to beguile us, just as he beguiled Eve in the garden. We have to remember: the devil can be “tricky” and he specializes in deception. He’s gotten really good at it over the years, but because we have the Holy Spirit living inside us as believers, we can outwit him to be sure. You cannot do this in your own strength. If you’re reading this right now, you must turn your life over to God. Right now, take a few moments to consider how the enemy did his work in the life of Adam and Eve (Genesis 2). To explain it briefly, he first tricked her into believing that God didn’t have her best interest at heart in keeping her away from the tree. So, she went against what He asked, did what she wanted to do, and convinced her man to do the same. When they did this, without realizing it (deception), they turned over the authority God had given them. Here’s what the Lord is saying: The enemy is trying to do this same thing in some of our lives…trying to convince us there’s nothing wrong with abortion…trying to convince us that girls can become boys, and boys can become girls…that feminism is sweeter than the beauty of being a woman and being lovely. (Keep in mind: lovely doesn’t equal weak.) Don’t allow yourself to be tricked on some of these key issues. As a Christian, I love all people and am kind to all people. I promote kindness indeed! BUT now is NOT the time for us to backdown on the moral issues we know in our spirits to be right. Show respect to all men (1 Peter 2:17), but now is the time to remain strong on Bible truths that save, protect, and give dignity to the human beings He loves and created in His own image. __________________________________ En el momento de escribir esto, el domingo por la mañana, recibo una palabra de Dios para usted. Me está diciendo que debemos tener especial cuidado con las estrategias y engaños del diablo en este momento. Tan pronto como leí Génesis 2 esta mañana, supe que me estaba pidiendo que compartiera esto con ustedes, así. Muchos de nosotros sabemos que este capítulo trata sobre Eva y cómo fue engañada por el diablo. Todos sabemos que están sucediendo muchas cosas en el mundo en este momento; creo firmemente que, como creyentes, debemos pedirle a Dios que nos ayude a ser especialmente conscientes de los engaños del enemigo y de cómo podría estar tratando de engañarnos, tal como engañó a Eva en el jardín. Tenemos que recordar: el diablo puede ser “tricky" y se especializa en el engaño. Se ha vuelto realmente bueno en eso a lo largo de los años, pero debido a que tenemos al Espíritu Santo viviendo dentro de nosotros como creyentes, podemos ser más listos que él. No puedes hacer esto con tus propias fuerzas. Si estás leyendo esto ahora mismo, debes entregar tu vida a Dios. Ahora mismo, tómate unos momentos para considerar cómo el enemigo hizo su obra en la vida de Adán y Eva (Génesis 2). Para explicarlo brevemente, primero la engañó haciéndole creer que Dios no tenía su mejor interés en mantenerla alejada del árbol. Entonces, ella fue en contra de lo que Él pidió, hizo lo que ella quería hacer y convenció a su hombre de que hiciera lo mismo. Cuando hicieron esto, sin darse cuenta (engaño), entregaron la autoridad que Dios les había dado. Esto es lo que dice el Señor: El enemigo está tratando de hacer lo mismo en algunas de nuestras vidas ... tratando de convencernos de que no hay nada de malo en el aborto ... tratando de convencernos de que las niñas pueden convertirse en niños y los niños pueden convertirse en niñas ... que el feminismo es más dulce que la belleza de ser mujer y ser hermosa. (Tenga en cuenta: ser encantador no es igual a débil). No se deje engañar en algunos de estos problemas clave. Como cristiano, amo a todas las personas y soy amable con todas las personas. ¡Promuevo la bondad de verdad! PERO ahora NO es el momento para que retrocedamos en los asuntos morales que sabemos en nuestro espíritu que son correctos. Muestre respeto por todos los hombres (1 Pedro 2:17), pero ahora es el momento de permanecer firmes en las verdades bíblicas que salvan, protegen y dan dignidad a los seres humanos que Él ama y creó a Su propia imagen. Maybe you’ve been told that God is more concerned about your NEEDS than your WANTS. This is what I thought…until I learned the truth! What a beautiful day it was when I figured out how God feels about my personal desires. You see, He cares very much about the things you WANT, and the things that would make you happy.
Traditional religion doesn’t really touch on these things, but we’ve got to, or we won’t know Him the way He wants us to. What a cool thing it was when I read Psalm 103 for the first time. I really couldn’t believe what I saw! I spend most of my time reading in the Amplified (AMPC) version of the Bible, and we’re going to do the same thing today. I modified the first two verses just a little bit, so they are easier to digest: Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not His benefits-- Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]! I like to call these first five verses of Psalm 103 God’s benefit package. After all, there are a lot of good things mentioned here. Things that belong to me and to you! For the purposes of what we’re looking at today, let’s focus our attention on verse 5: Can you believe that God actually cares about my “personal age and situation” and what I need and desire? This literally blew my mind. After all, it was contrary to what the Christians in my life had said before. But you’re reading it here right now: GOD CARES ABOUT YOUR NECESSITY AND DESIRE at your personal age and situation! This would also line up with: Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. (Psalm 37:4) If I delight myself in the Lord, He will give me the desires of my heart…this is so cool! We’ve got to get the word out about this! After all, there are so many people who don’t know it’s true. They’re living lives below the poverty line…not only money wise, but also in poverty of spirit…and we know the truth! They don’t want to fail anymore, they want to come out on top…they don’t YET understand that God wants this FOR THEM, too! You know, poverty of spirit is as difficult to bear as poverty in finances. Both are destructive, but if you don’t have personal hope, and live in a place of depression and despair in your heart (spirit), I think that could be worse than a lack of money. It may even be harder to bear. __________________________________ Tal vez le hayan dicho que Dios está más preocupado por sus NECESIDADES que por sus DESEOS. Esto es lo que pensé ... ¡hasta que supe la verdad! Qué hermoso el día fue cuando descubrí cómo se siente Dios acerca de mis deseos personales. Él se preocupa mucho por las cosas que DESEAS y las cosas que te harían feliz. La religión tradicional en realidad no toca estas cosas, pero tenemos que hacerlo, o no lo conoceremos como Él quiere. Qué gran cosa fue cuando leí el Salmo 103 por primera vez. ¡Realmente no podía creer lo que vi! Paso la mayor parte de mi tiempo leyendo la versión amplificada (AMPC) de la Biblia y hoy haremos lo mismo. Modifiqué los dos primeros versículos solo un poco, pero para que sean más fáciles de digerir: Bendice, alma mía, al Señor; y todo lo que es [lo más profundo] dentro de mí, bendiga su santo nombre. Bendice, alma mía, al Señor, y no olvides sus beneficios. El perdona todas tus iniquidades, El sana todas tus dolencias. El que redime tu vida del abismo y la corrupción, que te embellece, te dignifica y te corona con bondad amorosa y tierna misericordia; ¡Quién satisface tu boca [tu necesidad y deseo a tu edad y situación personal] con el bien para que tu juventud, renovada, sea como la del águila [fuerte, vencedora, remontada]! Me gusta llamar a estos primeros cinco versículos del Salmo 103 el paquete de beneficios de Dios. Aquí se mencionan muchas cosas buenas. ¡Cosas que me pertenecen a mí y a ti! Para los propósitos de lo que estamos viendo hoy, enfoquemos nuestra atención en el versículo 5: ¿Puedes creer que Dios realmente se preocupa por mi “edad y situación personal” y lo que necesito y deseo? Esto literalmente me voló la cabeza. Era contrario a lo que los cristianos de mi vida habían dicho antes. Pero lo estás leyendo aquí ahora mismo: ¡A DIOS LE PREOCUPAN TU NECESIDAD Y DESEO a tu edad y situación personal! Esto también se alinearía con: Deléitate también en el Señor, y Él te concederá los deseos y las peticiones secretas de tu corazón. (Salmo 37: 4) Si me deleito en el Señor, Él me concederá los deseos de mi corazón… ¡esto es genial! ¡Tenemos que compartir las buenas nuevas sobre esto! Hay mucha gente que no sabe que es verdad. Están viviendo vidas por debajo del umbral de la pobreza ... no solo en términos de dinero, sino también en pobreza de espíritu ... ¡y sabemos la verdad! Ellos ya no quieren fallar, quieren llegar a la cima ... ¡TODAVÍA no entienden que Dios también quiere esto PARA ELLOS! La pobreza de espíritu es tan difícil de soportar como la pobreza en las finanzas. Ambos son destructivos, pero si no tienes esperanza personal y vives en un lugar de depresión y desesperación en tu corazón (espíritu), creo que eso podría ser peor que la falta de dinero. Incluso puede ser más difícil de soportar. I can almost hear the song playing right now…can you?
I’ve asked myself over and over again…if money is so important in daily life, and everyone needs it to survive, then why don’t people who follow God talk about it more? Like, why is it almost a “taboo” subject in church circles? Over the years, I’ve heard different pastors apologize from behind the pulpit if they even have to mention the word! It’s as if they feel incredibly bad for even bringing it up. However, if you’re a member of the human race (and you are), then you undoubtedly have to have it to survive! So what’s the big deal anyway? We all have bills to pay, groceries to buy, and mouths to feed…so, shouldn’t this be a regular topic of conversation? Especially in the house of God? After all, the Bible has quite a bit to say about money. Jesus talked about it, and His followers did too. If we need it so badly and it’s entrenched in our daily lives and way of living, it makes sense that we should understand what God has to say about it, and try to learn as much as we can. Since my family and I moved to Costa Rica, my husband and I have done this very thing. You see, we didn’t have much money when we showed up in Central America…so we decided that if we were going to be able to do all the things God was asking us to do overseas, we would have to understand His philosophy where money is concerned. We were shocked and surprised about what we uncovered. We shouldn’t be afraid to know what the Bible says about this - nor should there be any confusion. Yet, people who follow God can get so offended when a leader even mentions tithes and offerings. This only happens because they fail to understand God’s purpose in asking us to give. And, by the way, GIVE is NOT a dirty word. It’s the very key to success and God arranged things that way. I will do several blogs about this, so today is really just an introduction - there is SO MUCH to write! But let’s start with Luke 6:38 AMPC, where Jesus said: Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you. There are a couple of truly exciting tidbits here…let me begin: First, it’s obvious we’re supposed to be givers. These are red-letter words, by the way. That means Jesus actually said these things word for word from His own mouth. We are undoubtedly supposed to be givers…more about this to come. So what happens when we give? Easy. We begin to receive. God will see to it that just as we’ve given, gifts will come to us. An interesting part comes at the end of the verse…for with the measure you deal out or with the measure you use when giving gifts to others, it will be measured back to you. Friends, in a nutshell, if I give sad, skimpy, boring gifts to other people, the same is going to come back to me! If I feel God encouraging me to give money to someone, and I look for the smallest bill in my wallet, that same kind of gift will come back to me. If God asks me to take a family to lunch one day after church, and I choose the cheapest restaurant in town, the same will come back to me. Are you getting the picture now? Okay…lesson one is finished. More to come! ____________________________________ Me he preguntado una y otra vez ... si el dinero es tan importante en la vida diaria, y todos lo necesitan para sobrevivir, ¿por qué las personas que siguen a Dios no hablan más de ello? Como, ¿por qué es casi un tema "tabú" en los círculos de la iglesia? A lo largo de los años, he escuchado a diferentes pastores disculparse desde detrás del púlpito si tienen que mencionar la palabra. Es como se sintieran increíblemente mal por mencionarlo. Sin embargo, si eres miembro de la raza humana (y lo eres), ¡sin duda debes tenerla para sobrevivir! Entonces, ¿cuál es el problema? Todos tenemos facturas que debemos pagar, alimentos que debemos comprar y bocas que debemos alimentar ... entonces, ¿no debería ser este un tema de conversación habitual? ¿Especialmente en la casa de Dios? Después de todo, la Biblia tiene bastante para decir sobre el dinero. Jesús habló de ello y sus seguidores también. Si lo necesitamos con tanta urgencia y está arraigado en nuestra vida diaria y en nuestra forma de vida, tiene sentido que entendamos lo que Dios tiene que decir al respecto y tratemos de aprender tanto como podamos. Desde que mi familia y yo nos mudamos a Costa Rica, mi esposo y yo hemos hecho esto mismo. Verá, no teníamos mucho dinero cuando llegamos a Centroamérica ... así que decidimos que si íbamos a poder hacer todas las cosas que Dios nos pedía que hiciéramos en el extranjero, tendríamos que entender Su filosofía donde se trata de dinero. Nos quedamos impactados y sorprendidos por lo que descubrimos. No deberíamos tener miedo de saber lo que dice la Biblia sobre esto, ni debería haber ninguna confusión. Sin embargo, las personas que siguen a Dios pueden sentirse tan ofendidas cuando un líder menciona los diezmos y las ofrendas. Esto solo sucede porque no comprenden el propósito de Dios al pedirnos que demos. Y, por cierto, DAR no es una mala palabra. Es la clave del éxito y Dios arregló las cosas de esa manera. Haré varios blogs sobre esto, así que hoy es solo una introducción, ¡hay MUCHO para escribir! Pero comencemos con Lucas 6:38 AMPC, donde Jesús dijo: Dad, y [obsequios] se os darán; medida buena, apretada, batida y rebosante, se verterán en [la bolsa formada por] el seno [de tu manto y usada como bolsa]. Porque con la medida que trates [con la medida que usas cuando otorgas beneficios a otros], se te volverá a medir. Aquí hay un par de curiosidades realmente emocionantes ... permítanme comenzar: Primero, es obvio que debemos dar como creyentes. Estas son palabras de letras rojas, por cierto. Eso significa que Jesús realmente dijo estas cosas palabra por palabra de Su propia boca. Sin duda, se supone que debemos ser dadores ... más sobre esto por venir. Entonces, ¿qué pasa cuando damos? Fácil. Empezamos a recibir. Dios se encargará de que, tal como hemos dado, recibamos regalos. Una parte interesante se encuentra al final del versículo ... porque con la medida que usa al dar regalos a otros, se le medirá a usted. Amigos, en pocas palabras, si doy regalos tristes, escasos y aburridos a otras personas, ¡lo mismo me volverá a ocurrir! Si siento que Dios me anima a darle dinero a alguien, y busco el billete más pequeño en mi billetera, ese mismo tipo de regalo volverá a mí. Si Dios me pide que lleve a una familia a almorzar un día después del culto y elijo el restaurante más barato de la ciudad, se me ocurrirá lo mismo. ¿Entiendes ahora? De acuerdo ... la lección uno ha terminado. ¡Más por venir! This is what I mean by “pizzazz.” Do you find yourself waning a little today? Maybe lacking energy and a sense of motivation? This is what I mean by “pizzazz” - do you need some today? Maybe you’ve prayed and asked God to keep you strong in faith, even though you feel so weak.
Well…let me ask you a few questions…are you spending consistent time reading your Bible? Are you praying? Making sure you’ve got time to think on the things of God? Are you feeding on life-giving messages that teach you who you are, and what you have in Christ? To be honest, I’m asking myself these questions RIGHT NOW, because I am feeling a little tired and I lack motivation to keep fighting the fight of faith. You know how it can be…one day, you’re ready to storm the mountain! You feel strong, and you won’t let anything take you down. Then, on another day…(maybe you didn’t sleep well the night before…or you got some bad news…or someone hurt your feelings) you don’t have the strength and motivation you’d like to have. I know how you feel, and YOU’RE NOT ALONE! Right now, because of the way I feel, I’m doing a self-check and finding out that I need a little extra time with the Lord, because what I’m doing isn’t getting me where I want to be! Especially if you’re facing a time of tests, trials, and getting bad news a lot…you may need to put in extra time with Jesus so you can STAY STRONG and ready to press on in what God has asked you to do. That’s me - this is where I’m at. If you know what I’m talking about, here’s what we both need to do: First, we’ve got to recognize that WE ARE RESPONSIBLE for our level of faith. God gives to each one the measure of faith, and we are no exception (Romans 12:3). So, when we start life in the Kingdom of God, none of us are without faith. We all enter the game on the same level, so to speak. However, I do need to make sure I’m doing things to GROW my personal faith level. These are things like what I mentioned up above. Doing these things will make me stronger, and give me the “pizzazz” I need to keep taking ground, without giving up. No one ever said being committed to God is easy! There’s WORk involved, and if we want to see what He’s promised happen in our lives, we have to do our part. We can NEVER go around thinking He’s withholding something from us. After all, we’ve been “blessed in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm” (Ephesians 1:3). He’s offering to us all we need to come out on top, IF we will DO OUR PART! ___________________________ Esto es lo que quiero decir con "dinamismo". ¿Te encuentras menguando un poco hoy? ¿Quizás le falta energía y un sentido de motivación? Esto es lo que quiero decir con "dinamismo": ¿necesitas este dinamismo hoy? Quizás has orado y le has pedido a Dios que te mantenga fuerte en la fe, aunque te sientas tan débil. Bueno ... déjame hacerte algunas preguntas ... ¿estás pasando tiempo constantemente leyendo tu Biblia? Estás rezando? ¿Asegurándose de tener tiempo para pensar en las cosas de Dios? ¿Te estás alimentando de mensajes vivificantes que te enseñan quién eres y qué tienes en Cristo? Para ser honesto, me estoy haciendo estas preguntas AHORA MISMO, porque me siento cansada y me falta motivación para seguir peleando la batalla de la fe. Ya sabes cómo puede ser ... ¡un día, estás listo para asaltar la montaña! Te sientes fuerte y no dejarás que nada te deprima. Luego, otro día ... (tal vez no durmió bien la noche anterior ... o recibió una mala noticia ... o alguien hirió sus sentimientos) no tiene la fuerza y la motivación que le gustaría tener. ¡Sé cómo te sientes y NO ESTÁS SOLO! En este momento, debido a la forma en que me siento, estoy haciendo una autocomprobación y descubriendo que necesito un poco más de tiempo con el Señor, ¡porque lo que estoy haciendo no me lleva a donde quiero estar! Especialmente si te enfrentas a una época de pruebas, dificultades y muchas malas noticias ... es posible que debas dedicar más tiempo a Jesús para mantenerte FUERTE y estar listo para seguir adelante en lo que Dios te ha pedido que hagas. Ese soy yo, aquí es donde estoy. Si sabe de lo que estoy hablando, esto es lo que debemos hacer: Primero, debemos reconocer que SOMOS RESPONSABLES de nuestro nivel de fe. Dios le da a cada uno la medida de la fe, y no somos una excepción (Romanos 12:3). Entonces, cuando comenzamos la vida en el Reino de Dios, ninguno de nosotros está sin fe. Todos ingresamos al juego en el mismo nivel, por así decirlo. Sin embargo, necesito asegurarme de estar haciendo cosas para CRECER mi nivel de fe personal. Estas son cosas como las que mencioné anteriormente. Hacer estas cosas me hará más fuerte y me dará el "dinamismo" que necesito para seguir ganando terreno, sin rendirme. ¡Nadie dijo nunca que estar comprometido con Dios sea fácil! Hay TRABAJO involucrado, y si queremos ver que suceda en nuestras vidas lo que Él ha prometido, tenemos que hacer nuestra parte. NUNCA podemos andar pensando que nos está ocultando algo. Después de todo, hemos sido "bendecidos en Cristo con toda bendición espiritual en el reino celestial" (Efesios 1:3). Nos está ofreciendo todo lo que necesitamos para salir victoriosos, ¡SI hacemos nuestra parte! “I just need to know what’s coming next.”
“I just wish I could know the future.” “How’s all this gonna turn out?” Does any of this sound familiar? It does to me! I’ve heard lots of people say things like this lately, and…I’ve had these thoughts myself! After all, when you’re running a business or trying to plan your financial future, it would be really helpful to know what’s coming down the pike. Plus, we all want to make the best plan possible for our families. If only we could see into the future! All kinds of people the world over look to horoscopes, Ouija boards, psychic hotlines and even hold seances trying to find answers about what’s to come. This is what people who aren’t in relationship with God do. They are in the world outside of covenant with the living God, so they have no other option. (Ephesians 2:12) Well, here’s the good news for you as a believer (and if you’re seeking today, you can join the family anytime!)…WE CAN KNOW THE FUTURE! And, the Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth and He can actually show us things which are to come. “…and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. (John 16:13) If you don’t do this already, it would be a good thing to spend some time daily with God. Just making time for Him in your schedule is an important key in knowing the details of life that will cause you to be prepared the right way. This is how things usually work for me: after I spend some quality time with the Lord reading His Word, praying, and asking some questions, He tells me things that are to come. Some of those things are big and meaningful to me, and other things seem smaller and less consequential. I have to trust that He shares the things I need to know. If He doesn’t touch on something, I choose to believe I must not need to know anything where that particular matter is concerned, at least for now. *One time Joyce Meyer said: if we’re not hearing anything new from God, we just need to forge ahead with what He told us to do before. I agree with this. Take my case for example: if you don’t know already, my husband and I live in Costa Rica and have opened Christian schools here, as God has asked us to do. Well, to date, students are not allowed back in the classroom in this country. They can’t come back until 2021. Beginning in March 2020, we had to cross over from face to face learning, to virtual learning. The virus forced us to re-think the way we work with children and teach them. There have been other challenges too, most of them related to this global pandemic. Well, in the beginning we could’ve given up, said it’s too hard, and decided to pack our bags and leave. BUT WE DIDN’T! You see, this pandemic was no surprise to God - He didn’t change his mind about our purpose in Costa Rica when the bad news hit. He hasn’t told us to give up and go home, so we’re not going to do it. We’re going to continue on the path He clearly laid out for us eight years ago, until He gives us different direction. If He gives us different direction. Day by day, He leads us to do certain things, and sometimes tells us to stay away from certain things. He gives us wisdom when we need to make decisions. There’s no way He sent us here only to leave us to do it all on our own - so far, He hasn’t let us down. Why am I telling you this? Because maybe you need to be encouraged today. Maybe you’re in a similar situation, and you just need to know you’re not alone. Joyce Meyer always says that sometimes we have to be content to know the One who knows. Knows what? The One who knows everything - and we can rest assured He will show us things that are to come and lead us day by day AS WE COMMIT to being in relationship with Him, caring what He says, and following His ways. _____________________________________________ "Solo necesito saber qué viene después.” "Ojalá pudiera conocer el futuro." "¿Cómo va a resultar todo esto?" ¿Algo de esto te suena familiar? ¡Me lo hace a mí! He escuchado a mucha gente decir cosas como esta últimamente, y ... ¡yo misma he tenido estos pensamientos! Después de todo, cuando está dirigiendo un negocio o tratando de planificar su futuro financiero, sería muy útil saber cosas de antemano. Además, todos queremos hacer el mejor plan posible para nuestras familias. ¡Si tan solo pudiéramos ver el futuro! Todo tipo de personas en todo el mundo buscan horóscopos, tableros Ouija, líneas telefónicas psíquicas e incluso celebran sesiones espiritistas para tratar de encontrar respuestas sobre lo que está por venir. Esto es lo que hacen las personas que no tienen una relación con Dios. Están en el mundo fuera del pacto con el Dios viviente, por lo que no tienen otra opción. (Efesios 2:12) Pues, aquí están las buenas noticias para ti como creyente (y si estás buscando hoy, ¡puedes unirte a la familia de Dios en cualquier momento!) ... ¡PODEMOS CONOCER EL FUTURO! Y al Espíritu Santo se le llama Espíritu de Verdad y Él puede mostrarnos las cosas que están por venir. “… Y Él les anunciará y les declarará las cosas que están por venir [que sucederán en el futuro]. (Juan 16:13) Si aún no lo hace, sería bueno que pasará algún tiempo diario con Dios. Solo dedicarle tiempo a Él en su agenda es una clave importante para conocer los detalles de la vida que harán para que pueda estar preparado de la manera correcta. Así es como funcionan las cosas para mí: después de pasar un tiempo de calidad con el Señor leyendo Su Palabra, orando y haciendo algunas preguntas, Él me dice lo que está por venir. Algunas de esas cosas son grandes y significativas para mí, y otras parecen más pequeñas y menos importantes. Tengo que confiar en que Él comparte las cosas que necesito saber. Si no toca algo, elijo creer que no necesito saber nada en lo que respecta a ese asunto en particular, al menos por ahora. *Una vez, Joyce Meyer dijo: si no escuchamos nada nuevo de Dios, solo tenemos que seguir adelante con lo que Él nos dijo que hiciéramos antes. Estoy de acuerdo con ésto. Tome mi caso, por ejemplo: si no lo sabe ya, mi esposo y yo vivimos en Costa Rica y hemos abierto escuelas cristianas aquí, como Dios nos ha pedido que hagamos. Hasta la fecha, los estudiantes no pueden regresar al aula en este país. No pueden regresar hasta 2021. A partir de marzo de 2020, tuvimos que pasar del aprendizaje cara a cara al aprendizaje virtual. El virus nos obligó a repensar la forma en que trabajamos con los niños y les enseñamos. También ha habido otros desafíos, la mayoría de ellos relacionados con esta pandemia mundial. En el principio podríamos habernos rendido, decir que es demasiado difícil y decidir hacer las maletas e irnos. ¡PERO NO LO HICIMOS! Verá, esta pandemia no fue una sorpresa para Dios; no cambió de opinión sobre nuestro propósito en Costa Rica cuando llegaron las malas noticias. No nos ha dicho que nos rindamos y nos vayamos a casa, así que no lo haremos. Continuaremos en el camino que claramente nos trazó hace ocho años, hasta que nos dé una dirección diferente. Si nos da una dirección diferente. Día tras día, Él nos guía a hacer ciertas cosas y, a veces, nos dice que nos mantengamos alejados de ciertas cosas. Nos da sabiduría cuando necesitamos tomar decisiones. No hay forma de que Él nos envíe aquí solo para dejarnos hacer todo por nuestra cuenta; hasta ahora, no nos ha defraudado. ¿Por qué te digo esto? Porque tal vez necesites que te animo hoy. Tal vez se encuentre en una situación similar y solo necesita saber que no está solo. Joyce Meyer siempre dice que a veces tenemos que contentarnos con conocer a Aquel que sabe. ¿Sabe qué? Aquel que sabe todo, y podemos estar seguros de que Él nos mostrará las cosas que están por venir y nos guiará día a día MIENTRAS NOS COMPROMETEMOS a estar en relación con Él, a cuidar lo que Él dice, y a seguir Sus caminos. |
