Protection for Every Day / Protección Diaria

In this week’s video (posted Friday, September 4), I share what God is about, and what He’s not about. He’s not about bringing disasters, calamities, and tragedies to the earth. Instead, He’s about protecting people from these kinds of things, when they’re in COVENANT with Him.

Wow, that’s a big word! Maybe you’ve never heard it before. That word again is COVENANT. I’m not going to give you some kind of hard-to-understand, dictionary definition of the word. I’m going to give you the Brigit version. Basically, it’s this: 

• He’s got my back, and I’ve got His.
• He’ll help me when I turn to Him.
• He’ll make sure the good things he’s got planned for me happen in my life when I put Him in first place, put my words in agreement with the Bible, and see His Word as my personal guide for living.
  

Let’s take a peek at Psalm 91. Inside this Psalm, which is like a poem of its day, the writer was inspired and led by the Holy Spirit to pen down what God was saying to Him at that time, so he did. He talked about things that matter to us today, like:

• Protection from deadly pestilence (diseases, like Covid) (verse 3)
• How God is our refuge, or our safe place (verse 4)
• How you don’t have to fear what people might be plotting against you behind your back (verse 5)
• Protection from surprise death (verse 6)
• People might be dying all around you, but it can’t touch you (verse 7)
• Protection from plagues and calamities (verse 10)
• How personal body guards called angels can keep us safe (verses 11-12)
  

Maybe this sounds like exactly what you need today! Well, don’t miss out. 

Maybe you’re wondering how to activate this kind of protection from evil in your life.

1. Ask God to forgive you for your mistakes; invite Jesus to live inside you.
2. Make God a part of your life every day by reading the Bible, and deciding that it’s your new guide for  life.
3. When you find a promise, believe it’s true in your heart and then say it with your mouth. 
4. Feed on what you’re learning every day, until it becomes rooted inside of you.

En el video de esta semana (publicado el viernes, 4 de septiembre), comparto de qué se trata Dios y qué no se trata. No se trata de traer desastres, calamidades y tragedias a la tierra. En cambio, se trata de proteger a las personas de este tipo de cosas, cuando están en PACTO con Él.

¡PACTO es una palabra importante! Quizás nunca lo hayas escuchado antes. Esa palabra nuevamente es PACTO. No voy a darles una definición de diccionario difícil de entender de la palabra. Les voy a dar la versión de Brigit. Básicamente, es esto:
* Él tiene mi espalda, y yo tengo suya.
* Él me ayudará cuando me dirija a Él.
* Él se asegurará de que las cosas buenas que ha planeado para mí sucedan en mi vida cuando lo ponga a Él en primer lugar, pongo mis palabras de acuerdo con la Biblia, y vea Su Palabra como mi guía personal para vivir.

Echemos un vistazo al Salmo 91. Dentro de este Salmo, que es como un poema de su época, el escritor fue inspirado y guiado por el Espíritu Santo a escribir lo que Dios le estaba diciendo en ese momento, y así lo hizo. Habló sobre cosas que nos importan hoy, como:

* Protección contra pestilencias mortales (enfermedades, como Covid) (versículo 3)
* Cómo Dios es nuestro refugio o nuestro lugar seguro (versículo 4)
* Cómo no tienes que temer lo que la gente pueda estar tramando contra ti a tus espaldas (versículo 5)
* Protección contra la muerte sorpresa (versículo 6)
* La gente puede estar muriendo a tu alrededor, pero no puede tocarte (versículo 7)
* Protección contra plagas y calamidades (versículo 10)
* Cómo los guardaespaldas personales llamados ángeles pueden mantenernos a salvo (versículos 11-12)

¡Quizás esto suene exactamente como lo que necesitas hoy! No te lo pierdas.

Tal vez se esté preguntando cómo activar este tipo de protección contra el mal en su vida.

1. Pídale a Dios que le perdone por sus errores; invita a Jesús a vivir dentro de ti.
2. Haga de Dios parte de su vida todos los días leyendo la Biblia y decidiendo que es su nueva guía para la vida.
3. Cuando encuentre una promesa, crea que es verdad en su corazón y luego dígala con la boca suya.
4. Aliméntese de lo que está aprendiendo todos los días, hasta que se arraigue dentro de usted.
