Take a look at our TOFM Annual Report: Read about what happened in 2020, and what’s to come in 2021!
This past year has been exciting in more ways than one…we realize it was a difficult year because of the global pandemic, but there were some good things that happened even in the middle of a year no one wanted. Read about them in our Annual Report. We learned that God is on our side, and that if He takes up your case, no one can stop you. There was more than one time when we were tempted to give up, but we dug deep, and kept moving forward. Every time we got bad news, we took another look at God’s promises, and DECIDED to believe that instead of the bad news. We started saying the right thing with our mouths, and that was a GOOD IDEA! We are still here because of it. https://www.touchoffire.net/annual-reports.html

Every year on GIVING TUESDAY, people from around the world GIVE TOGETHER to help someone else who really needs it! When we put others first, it makes us all STRONGER…Will you be a part of it? Touch of Fire Ministries (TOFM) will be participating in GIVING TUESDAY to benefit their two Christian schools in Costa Rica! By joining this movement, you are proving that GOOD THINGS still happen, even when times are tough. Here’s how YOU can GIVE: 1. MARK YOUR CALENDAR! December 1, 2020 is GIVING TUESDAY! 2. GIVE! On December 1, visit https://www.touchoffire.net/partners.html and donate. 3. SPREAD THE WORD! Ask your family and friends to help you make a real impact on December 1, by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support Uvita Christian Academy and Victory Christian Academy in Costa Rica. Why is this so important? Where we live in rural Costa Rica, most adults only have a 6th grade education. On average, 21% of all births are among girls under the age of 18. Therefore, education and planning for the future are more important than ever! SINCE THE MONTH OF MARCH 2020, many of our UCA families have lost their usual income. This is because TOURISM is the backbone of the economy here, and their businesses are based on tourism. Through no fault of their own, their economic situation has changed, and many of our families haven’t had the OPPORTUNITY to work. We have done our best to allow children to keep coming to school, even though they haven’t been able to pay their full tuition. Also, CR was further troubled by two recent hurricanes, Eta and Iota, which only made things worse. All funds received by December 31, 2020 will help families catch up on outstanding school bills, and make it possible to enroll for the 2021 school term. Make sure to use hashtag #GivingTuesday and tag us so we can share! |
